131 East 66th Street, a studio building designed by Charles A. Platt c. 1906 on Lexington Avenue and East 66th Street in New York City.     I could be happy in one of those studios. I wonder how many have escaped gut renovation and still have mantels and paneling?

    Oh my. Marvelous indeed. The sold apartment is to die for, despite the awkward bathroom placement. The Corcoran apt. isn't too bad either (though that looks like one of those modern limestone replacement mantels---still, not bad---and has a much better plan. Sigh.
