A property with alot of baggage, from Legionaries disease, to being restored in the 1970's only to have the restored main floors gutted and converted into a shopping mall and atrium to numerous hotel chains coming and going. Maybe it all started with the equally sad story of George Boldt and his dream of building Boldt Castle for his wife.

Hello! I thank-you so much for posting these pictures on your blog! The Bellevue-Stratford today is no more then a foot-note in today's modern upkeep and tastes. Her decorations and ornate interiors were marred by the Rubin Co. when they tried to preserve it. I have a blog I just started, please visit if you can! :)

I am also petitioning for a restoration of the Hotel to its original 1904 splendour! What the Rubin Co. did is atrocious and hideously undermines artistry and architectural beauty at its finest!

Here also for your enjoyment is a Facebook group I created for the Hotel:

I thank-you again for the beautiful photos! They really show us the majesty and brilliance of the Grand Dame on Broad Street!
